Aroma and taste : |
Rose hydrosol smells almost exactly like a fresh rose. Its aroma is highly complex and sublime, with a hint of lemon characteristic of the hardy rose varieties used for distillation. The aroma and taste are moist and fresh, intensely floral. Undiluted, the hydrosol has a gripping, overpowering flavor. Diluted, its intensely floral flavor becomes delicate, subtle and quite delicious. You'll never be fooled by an imitation again once you smell a real rose hydrosol.

Stability and Shelf Life : |
Quite stable. The hydrosol usually keeps for at least two years, depending on the quality. The aroma of rose hydrosol made from dried petals is initially weaker and begins to fade after ten to twelve months. |
Properties and indications
Hydrosol has a multitude of uses and is so pleasant that we don't wait to have a problem to use it.
This hydrosol is a humectant as it increases and retains moisture. It is suitable for normal, dry, mature, sensitive and devitalized skin. It is a moderately astringent refresher to be used as a mask, spray or compress. Rose hydrosol provides a very effective anti-wrinkle treatment in combination with labdanum hydrosol, whose aroma it greatly enhances. It can be added to bath water to relax and revitalize. It can also be added to a sitz bath as a postpartum treatment or in a shower (bidet) as a most effective and premium personal hygiene measure.
People who suffer from environmental chemical hypersensitivity or sensitivity to certain chemicals can try it as a hypoallergenic perfume for the body or clothing or as a room fragrance. Its ability to retain moisture makes it a good choice for the traveler. Because it is mildly antiseptic and refreshing, it is suitable for a range of first aid treatments. For people who have to travel light, we recommend concocting a mixture of rose, lavender and chamomile (Roman or German) hydrosols, which will help solve lots of occasional problems (stress, insomnia, sunburn, injuries, etc.).
