History and Origin

Lippia javanica is a shrub that can reach up to 2 meters. Its strongly aromatic oval leaves have a lemony aroma. Its small flowers are white. Lippia javanica is a plant native to South Africa, where it is quite widespread. The chemical composition of wild verbena is very different from lemon verbena. It is important to differentiate them. Lippia javanica is also known as the "fever tree".
