The Aliksir brand
Aliksir is a Quebec-based company founded in 1988 by Lucie B. Mainguy and her late husband, Pierre Mainguy. Passionate about aromatherapy, Lucie quickly established Aliksir as a leader in therapeutic-grade essential oils. Over the years, the company has grown and adapted to market conditions.
In March 2022, Biolandes, led by Philippe Coutière, acquired Aliksir. This integration is part of Biolandes' expansion strategy in Canada and allows the company to broaden its production of essential oils and hydrosols derived from the boreal forest.
Since then, Aliksir has continued to produce high-quality organic essential oils, while benefiting from the support and resources of the group to strengthen its presence in international markets.

We cultivate our plants according to the principles of organic farming, without pesticides or chemical fertilizers. Every action, every care, from cultivation to harvest, follows the natural rhythm of the plants and preserves the health of the soil. This rigorous approach guarantees pure, contaminant-free essential oils, faithful to the true essence of the plant.

local resources
We value conifer branches recovered within a 50 km radius around Grondines, a material once burned, now transformed into local wealth.
Responsible water
All our distillations are carried out with 100% rainwater that is collected and reused.
Less plastic
Our shops now use almost exclusively glass bottles, and our packaging is entirely made of recyclable cardboard.
Zero plant waste
Distillation residues are used as mulch in our fields or sold at a low price to residents. Nothing is wasted. 🌱

Each year, our QV certifier confirms the conformity and traceability of all our products.
