Citrus × paradisi, commonly known as grapefruit, is a citrus fruit widely found in markets. It produces a fairly large fruit, 10 to 15 cm in diameter, with yellow or pink skin and flesh when ripe. However, it is smaller than the true pummelo (Citrus maxima, also known as Citrus grandis or shaddock), which originates from Southeast Asia. Discovered in the Caribbean at the end of the 18th century, the grapefruit was initially thought to be a mutation of the pummelo. However, studies conducted from 1948 onward revealed that it is actually a natural hybrid between the pummelo (Citrus maxima) and the sweet orange (Citrus sinensis). This hybrid status is now reflected in its botanical name: Citrus × paradisi (the “×” indicates hybridization). Grapefruit is mainly cultivated in North America (especially in Florida, California, and Texas), as well as in Brazil, the Caribbean, and Israel. Its fruit, sometimes referred to as pink grapefruit depending on the flesh color, is an edible berry, slightly sweet, made up of a dozen segments. It grows in clusters, which explains its English name “grapefruit.” Note: In grocery stores, you may sometimes find a very large fruit with thick skin labeled as “grapefruit.” In reality, this is the true pummelo (Citrus maxima), which is more bitter and less juicy than the common grapefruit. This fruit, rarely found outside of Asia, is often mislabeled in commercial settings, which contributes to the confusion between the two species. |

The shelf life of essential oils is difficult to determine precisely. It also depends on storage conditions. Make sure to close the essential oil bottle tightly and protect it from light and heat. Under these conditions, essential oils can last between 3 to 5 years. In any case, always refer to the expiration date indicated on the product. An essential oil is considered expired if it was fluid but has become viscous, if its scent has changed from its characteristic aroma, or if its color has darkened compared to the original.

Essential oils are highly active substances with a wide variety of molecules, so it is your responsibility to use them properly.
Not all essential oils are suitable for diffusion. Some contain molecules that can be neurotoxic, irritating, or too harsh for the respiratory system, especially in children, sensitive individuals, and animals. For example, peppermint, thyme thymol, sage, clove, cinnamon, and thuja are not recommended for diffusion. Yes, but generally it is recommended to dilute essential oils in a carrier oil before applying them to the skin. Essential oils are powerful plant concentrates and can be irritating or cause adverse reactions when used undiluted on the skin. Carrier oils are excellent for essential oils and do not reduce their effectiveness. When carefully chosen according to the issue being targeted, carrier oils can work synergistically with essential oils. The more regular the use, especially for cosmetic purposes or on large areas of the body, the more essential oils should be dilute

Returns of defective or non-conforming merchandise:

Restocking fees:
