History and Origin

Blue cypress grows between 25 and 45 meters tall. It is considered to be a remnant of the former vegetation of Gondwana (pre-jurassic continent). The Native used it for its refreshing, calming and regenerating properties.

Uses

Perfumery

Base note, appreciated in the preparation of scent water. The aroma has similarities with sandal wood and vetiver. It can act as a natural fixative.

Environment

Very pleasant diffused with conifers or citruses. Used in small proportion in a synergy.

Skincare

Hydrating and regenerating, widely used in cosmetics as an anti-ageing agent. It is also used to soothe diaper rash (diluted with 95% calendula maceration oil).

Synergy

Blends well with green notes such as peppermint, dill and coriander, spices (nutmeg, clove, St-Thomas Bay, etc.) and citruses.

Safety

Avoid in pregnant women. Keep out of reach of children.
