Lime is the fruit of the lime tree, originally from India or Malaysia and introduced to America by the Portuguese crusaders. It was used by navigators to fight scurvy because of its high content in vitamin C.

Used in compress with a steam bath to treat mature skin presenting impurities or lesions.
