History and Origin

Australian sandalwood is a tree native to semi-arid areas of Australia. It can measure up to 5 meters in heightIt is an evergreen tree with small pink flowers and a reddish-brown bark. Santalum spicatum is an hemiparasite, that means it takes nutrients necessary to its survival from the roots of hosts on which it fixes itself durably.
