History and Origin

Artemisia pallens is a fragrant herb native to India that belongs to the Asteraceae family and is in the same family as tarragon. The shrub can reach up to 60 centimeters in height and has silver-gray to blue leaves and small yellow flowers. In ancient Ayurvedic medicine, this oil was often used for its ability to decongest, ward off germs and bacteria and for its richness in antioxidants.
