Clay from Quebec
Rich in calcium, iron, magnesium, aluminium, potassium and sodium (which with silica compose the mineral structure of clay), grey clay is soft on the skin and hair, mineralising, balanced and therapeutic.
Grey clay is harvested in the Kamouraska River, in the lower Saint-Lawrence region. It is washed first at the River, to eliminate impurities (rocks, roots, etc.), and then by a filtered water process. It is then sun dried before being powdered and packed. The product is laboratory controlled to confirm it is free from lead, mercury and pesticides. The whole production process is small-scaled and environmentally-friendly. And since the whole harvesting is hand-made during summer, production is limited.
