History and origin

Jasminum grandiflorum is a shrub measuring around 2 to 4 meters high. It flowers from August to October. Jasmine flower, white or slightly pink, is called "queen of the night" because it releases its scent at sunset. It takes as much as 10 kg (around 8 million flowers) to obtain 1 kg of absolute, which makes this oil one of the most expensive.
