History and Origin
Spikenard grows wild in the Himalayan mountains where it grows at an altitude of between 3000 and 5000 metres. It can reach up to 1 meter in height and its flowers are pink. Spikenard is considered a sacred plant, both medicinally and spiritually. It is an integral part of the Indian ayurvedic tradition. It is used to develop consciousness and strengthen spirit.
