The brownie: A Valentine’s Day classic!




170g dark chocolate, chopped

3/4 cup unsalted butter, cut into cubes

2 eggs

4-5 drops Aliksir Orange Gastronomic Oil

¾ cup brown sugar

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup all-purpose flour




Place the rack in the middle of the oven. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line the bottom of a 20 cm square baking pan with parchment paper, leaving it hanging over the bottom.

In a bowl, in a double boiler or in the microwave oven, melt the chocolate with the butter. Allow to cool.

In another bowl, whisk together eggs, brown sugar, orange gastronomic oil and salt until smooth. Add chocolate mixture and flour and mix until smooth.

Pour into pan and bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out with a few lumps and not completely clean.

Let cool in pan. Unmold and cut into squares or use a heart-shaped cookie cutter for Valentine's Day.
