Spicy Mayonnaises

“Ça goûte donc bon d’la mayonnaise… On peut pas dire à quoi ça goûte.”

Have you ever seen the Québec classic play, Les voisins, by Claude Meunier and Louis Saia? These neighbours described mayonnaise with just the right words.

Here are a couple recipes to surprise your guests this barbecue season. Bring the good old mayonnaise to the next level!

Coriander, Lime & Garlic

• 120 ml mayonnaise
• 10 ml apple cider vinegar
• 2 drops Aliksir coriander gastronomic oil
• 4 drops Aliksir lime oil (GO or EO)
• 2 drops Aliksir garlic gastronomic oil

1. Blend all ingredients. Adjust to taste.
2. Decorate with a lime quarter, fresh coriander leaves, etc.

Dill, Sweet Gale & Pepper

• 120 ml mayonnaise
• 10 ml apple cider vinegar
• 2 drops Aliksir dill gastronomic oil
• 6 drops Aliksir sweet gale gastronomic oil
• 1 drops Aliksir black pepper gastronomic oil

1. Blend all ingredients. Adjust to taste.
2. Decorate with ground pepper, fresh or dry dill, etc.

Cumin, Ginger & Mustard

• 120 ml mayonnaise
• 10 ml apple cider vinegar
• 5 ml cumin powder (or 1 drop Aliksir cumin essential oil)
• 4 drops Aliksir ginger gastronomic oil
• 6 drops Aliksir mustard gastronomic oil
• 4 drops Aliksir black pepper gastronomic oil

1. Blend all ingredients. Adjust to taste.
2. Decorate with ground pepper, a pinch of cumin powder, dry mustard, etc.
